Components linking the evolution of the solid , fluid and living Earths

چکیده
I. Summary Geography and geomorphology are not constant. Continents and oceans are continually rearranging and evolving in response to plate motions and internal plate deformation, thereby establishing dynamic boundary conditions that affect global ocean/atmosphere circulation, the connectedness of biological communities, the spatial and temporal distribution of biogeochemically important mass fluxes in and out of sedimentary reservoirs, and the distribution of mass and heat in and out of the mantle. Thus, understanding the evolution of any Earth system requires that the rearrangement of Earth’s surface be well studied and well constrained. Any knowledge management system that aims to integrate geoscience data on a large-scale must include paleogeography as a key component. Many of the grand challenge problems involving the Earth system – including paleoclimate change, biological responses to environmental perturbations, the dynamics of plate tectonics and the deep interior, reversals of the geomagnetic field, ocean chemistry and sea level change – all rely on plate tectonic and/or paleogeographic frameworks. Paleogeography is therefore an indispensable component of Earth systems analysis. Here, we describe the critical science that is dependent on paleogeography, the current state of cyberinfrastructure applied to the topic, and propose a path for the meaningful integration of paleogeography into EarthCube.

Origin and evolution of ore-forming fluids in the magnetite±apatite Lake Siah deposit (Bafq): Evidence of fluid inclusions and oxygen stable isotope
The Lake Siah magnetite ± apatite deposit is situated in the northeastern of Bafq and Central Iran tectonic zone. The host rock of deposit is composed from lower Cambrian volcano-sedimentary sequence that has exposed as caldera complex. The iron mineralization is as massive ore and includes magnetite and hematite which form with apatite, quartz and calcite gangue minerals. Based on fluid inclus...

The success of the composite solid propellant motor depends on the proper stress-strain behavior of the propellant grain against tensile, compression and shear stresses and intensive changes in gravity during launch. In this paper, the effect of formulation components and other parameters affecting mechanical properties (tensile strength, elongation and elastic modulus), and their effects AP/Al...

This work is a study of the Earths free oscillations considering a merge of solid and liquid model. At the turn of 19th century Geophysicists presented the theory of the free oscillations for a self-gravitating, isotropic and compressible sphere. Assuming a steel structure for an Earth size sphere, they predicted a period of oscillation of about 1 hour. About 50 years later, the free oscillat...
متن کاملElastic Wave Propagation at Imperfect Boundary of Micropolar Elastic Solid and Fluid Saturated Porous Solid Half-Space
This paper deals with the reflection and transmission of elastic waves from imperfect interface separating a micropolar elastic solid half-space and a fluid saturated porous solid half-space. Longitudinal and transverse waves impinge obliquely at the interface. Amplitude ratios of various reflected and transmitted waves are obtained and computed numerically for a specific model and results obta...
متن کاملCulture and Identity: Linking Iranian Identity Components and Cultural Dimensions
Iranian identity cannot be conceived of as a uniform monolithic concept. But, thanks to certain upheavals in the history of the country, it has turned into the triple concept of national/Islamic/modern. Hofstede’s (2001) cultural framework represents a well-validated operationalization of culture based on six cultural dimensions (power distance, individualism/collectivism, masculinity/feminini...
